Muffin man

I got a muffin for a snack this afternoon and then I held it close to Nugget. Nugget reached out and grabbed a huge handful. So I let him keep it. I'm pretty sure most of it crumbled away. If you look carefully you can see some under his legs.

Nugget has pharyngitis with a bit of a fever. So I'm wiping his head down with a wet washcloth to cool him down a little. Bonus spiky hair!  (Nugget is generally clingy and unwell but he flashed a few smiles for the camera.)

We went over to Sylvia's house for the grownups to play games and for the babies to drool in the same vicinity. We took a balloon for Sylvia. She had never played with one before and she loved it.

Nugget has had a couple and was showing her how to play with it properly.

9 months in, 9 months out

We had slices of cake from Bakery Nouveau and Nugget enjoyed corn on the cob.

Nugget tried a raspberry from one of the cakes and it must have been a little tart.

9 month checkup

A perfectly healthy Nugget weighed in at 19.84 lb (9 kg) and is 29 inches (73.7 cm) tall.

I understand that most babies think regular toys pale in comparison to random everyday objects, for example, a jar of peanuts.

Fourth tooth

Nugget somehow knew that I planned to capture a picture of his emerging fourth tooth while he was napping. 

But I caught it later. Yeah, I know, you can barely see it but it's there, trust me.

Nugget is obsessed with standing up. He can go a few steps to either side but he's pretty happy standing in place.

Daddy noticed it coming in on Saturday. We had to hold Nugget upside down to get this picture this evening.

BBQ with friends

First Independence Day

We went to Draven's for a little BBQ.

Nugget was not afraid to push against Draven's almost-3-year-old brother.

And Nugget was using his (since yesterday) newfound crawling skills to beeline for Gael's plate of food. He's very quick and I didn't even realize he was crawling because I was trying to take pictures and grab the plate at the same time. 

Then we went home to meet up with Harabuhji before going to bed.
