A relaxed day in Aix

Sleeping in with jet lag

Nugget is satisfied with taking a toy from Tom. 

 

We went out to the markets and picked up food for a picnic. 

Daddy shared some madeleine with Nugget which was promptly scarfed down.

Introduction to Aix-en-Provence

Nugget and I caught a cold and I was feeling quite poorly on our first full day in France. So I slept all day while Nugget and Daddy went with Uncle Nir, Aunt Lironne and Cousin Tom to see the town that Uncle Jonathan has been living in.

After they returned, I found Aunt Lironne reading to the boys.

Excited at the Boston airport

We got a lovely bassinet on our Lufthansa flight and it was a little after Nugget's bedtime, but Nugget was way too wired to sleep. 

He caught a couple of naps during our long Munich layover.

But he was understandably tired by the time we arrived in Marseilles.

Uncle Yoni met us at the airport and we took a bus to Aix-en-Provence.

Cousin Tom was waiting back at Jonathan and Liza's place to play.

Last day in Boston

New England vs Tampa Bay

Saba and Safta had some people over to meet Nugget.

Peek-a-boo

Saba and Safta's friends brought Nugget a lot of presents, so we let him practice unwrapping for his birthday. 

Cannoli run

We started the day with some healthy juicing. Nugget explored some kale that escaped the juicer and played around Saba's feet. 

Then we went to Boston's North End on a cannoli run. 

Nugget's first cannoli was from Gelateria & Cannoli Factory. 

Later we hit Caffe Vittoria for the second cannoli. 

The third cannoli was from Maria's but we took it to go for later. 

On the way back, I thought it was interesting that Nugget shows no interest in the nesting cups that go within one another but he was very interested in getting the straw back into its relatively tiny hole. 

We went to the house of Daddy's best friend. They have a two year-old named Naomi who was happy to share her toys.

Day 2 in Boston

We had brunch with an old friend of Daddy's and her daughter, Ava. Ava is just two days older than Nugget. 

In the afternoon we went to Bassett Furniture and Nugget had a blast crawling around the spacious showroom. 

For dinner we went to an Afghani restaurant. Nugget is a big fan of Afghan food.
